1100 Wilshire was built as a 37-story, Class A office tower in downtown Los Angeles. Completed in 1986, this unique 380,000 square foot building was vacant in mid-2004 when acquired by a partnership of RAD, Forest City Residential West, TMG Partners and MacFarlane Partners. The partners are converting the property into approximately 228 luxury condominium homes.

Downtown Los Angeles has undergone a renaissance as a popular place to live, work and play. The 1100 Wilshire building’s unique location and design offer spectacular views and amenities including an existing pool on the 18th floor, substantial parking and retail space. Constructed with top quality materials and systems, the building’s floors are open and unfinished, simplifying the redevelopment process. The building was engineered to meet today’s seismic codes.

The partners will transform an economic failure into a revenue generating, state-of-the-art residential community. The building’s unique characteristics, featuring 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, the Hollywood Hills and the Los Angeles skyline, will be capitalized to their fullest as a result of the redevelopment.

The prime location provides easy access to employment, public transportation, quality medical care, restaurants and L.A.’s premier cultural and sporting venues. A landscaped, outdoor “sky deck” with infinity pool and arbor provide a scenic and relaxing space on the 17th floor.
